UNANSWERED PRAYER - POSSIBLE CAUSES! YOU DID NOT FALL ON THIS PAGE BY ACCIDENT! THIS MESSAGE IS FOR YOU!

Ladies & Gentlemen, The 23rd Psalm

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.  He causes me to lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul: He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His names' sake. Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for He is with me. His rod and His staff, they comfort me. He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies, He annoints my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and, I will dwell in the house of the Lord FOREVER! Amen.

Ladies & Gentlemen, The 91st Psalm

He that dwells in the secret place of 'The Most High' shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God; and in Him will I trust. Surely He will deliver me from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He will cover me with His feathers, and under His wings will I trust.  His truth will be my shield and buckler. I shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day: nor of the pestilencethat walks in darkness, or the destruction that wastes at noonday.  A thousand shall fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, but, it shall not come near me.. Only with my eyes shall I behold the reward of the wicked; because I have made the Lord; who's my refuge, even the Most High, my habitation.  There shall no evil be-fall me nor any shall any plauge come to my house..   For He shall give His angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways. They shall bare me up in their hands, less... I dash my foot against a stone.  I shall tread upon the lion and the adder; the young lion and dragon I will trample under my feet.  Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He shall call upon me and I will answer him.  I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.  With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation. Amen...

YOU DID NOT FALL ON THIS PAGE BY ACCIDENT! THIS MESSAGE IS FOR YOU!

First, you need to know that there truly is room at the Lord's CROSS for YOU!

Talk to HIM the 'Lord GOD' about everything! Prayer is simply a matter of speaking openly and unrestrained, to God who loves you for NO reason apparent/ or obvious to YOU. Talk about everything you can think of that troubles you, in the NAME of 'Jesus Christ.' Begin your prayer conversation something like this, "Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ who died for me and everyone who would receive HIM as Lord, Savior and the Redeemer of their eternal souls." Now, go on to speak with your 'Heavenly Father' as candidly and honestly as you know how, and you WILL be heard. Amen!

Will 'HE' the 'Lord YOUR GOD' answer you? Emphatically, YES! Don't worry; simply know that you have been well received, and that your life will begin to reflect the answers to your prayers.

Will 'HE' answer your prayers in the way YOU think, or believe 'HE' should? More often than not, the 'Lord God' will answer your prayers, but in a manner that reflects 'His Word' and 'His Will' for your life. In other words, 'HE' will answer your prayers in a way that reflects that which is absolutely 'GOOD' for your life, and the lives that your life touches.

You can trust GOD! The reason you're coming to 'HIM' is not because you need someone to talk to, as much as you need the 'ONE' who can absolutely change your life and circumstances around for the better. You're seeking a new life, and the best way; subsequently, you're seeking GOD's way of doing things: and who wouldn't want that? Who wouldn't want to know absolutely that GOD is answering their prayers and directing their paths? Who wouldn't want to know of a surety that the 'GOD' of the Holy Bible is a Fact, and an ever-present help, light, and guide in one's daily life?

Ok, let's focus a moment on the subject of 'Unanswered Prayer' and possible causes.

Hold it! Let's nail-down God's Word for support. 1st John 5:14-15 states;

And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His Will, he hears us. And, if we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him. (Clarity's-Sake) 1). We must ask according to His Will. 2) We must know what His Will is. 3) We must *know/ believe that He hears us. Subsequently, theirs your answer; if you can with your whole heart answer honestly these three ( 3 ) questions, you'll pretty much know whether or not the Lord God has heard and will answer your prayer.

In other words, if you pray in accordance with His Will, which is to know His Will, and believe He hears you, you know that you'll have your prayers answered, one way or another.

Now, back to possible causes of 'Unanswered Prayer.'

1. Spiritually deficient; a prayer-less state of being certain to impede faith; believing.

2. A lack of perseverance; resulting still in spiritual deficits: faith, relationship, love, hope..

3. Lack of faith; usually the result of NOT reading the Word of God, which is the Will of God.

4. Last but certainly not least; the Scriptures tell us (John 21:25) that, "There are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written." We may assume then, the handful of words quoted from the mouth of our Savior are only the most minute fragment of those actually uttered during His lifetime. And, realizing this, we must assume that for every word quoted there are a multitude left unwritten. For everything suggested, there is a volume left unexplained. It is therefore dangerous to take phrases here and there, out of context, and set up doctrines around them. I am confident, that when we meet in heaven, there will be no need for contradictory doctrines. For there we will finally see truth, not doctrine.

5. Constricting God to the confines of our doctrines; by demanding that God's words be absolute and universal, we make a sham and a mockery of the logic with which God always works. What I am saying is this: if we are to operate within the comprehension that God means for us, we must assume that if Jesus were searching us today, He would no doubt add the disclaimer, "within certain limitations."

Lack of maturity; usually identifiable by all of the above traits and a few more to be covered in another article.

Keep in mind, God is never unreasonable or irrational, and above all, He is never illogical. God cannot in good conscience answer every prayer prayed with a (YES); or a (NO) for that matter. Also, we can conclude that GOD is not obligated to answer every prayer prayed for reasons outlined in HIS Word. For one, every prayer prayed and every word spoken towards God is NOT a righteous word or prayer. Again, this wisdom is only available to the one whom "Searches the scriptures: for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they that testify of me." And, also study to show yourself approved by GOD, rightly dividing and discerning the truth of His word; thus becoming a workman who need not be ashamed. Certainly, the maturely spiritual person praying has an advantage, due to presence and fruition of the aforementioned attributes in their life.

Other factors:

The age, maturity, basic intelligence and wisdom of the person making a request of God, as much as the details of what's being asked of God, are all very important factors as to whether a person is able to receive their petition, and whether or not God can grant the desired petition.

Can't God do anything? YES, within it's proper context of GOD being all-powerful, but, He cannot always do anything, because "anything" can sometimes be harmful to the children HE loves and wants to protect. His ability to answer prayer not only hinges on His abilities, but also on our abilities, situations, and relationships with HIM.  And, of course God___in His infinite wisdom will always consider "humanity" at large. He will always ask of Himself that one crucial question that (we), his creation generally fail to consider when petitioning God; that is, "How, and or will this prayer petition affect anyone else?"

In conclusion; in all honesty, if God were bound to answer every prayer brought before Him, He wouldn't remain the Supreme Being for very long, because we all have the tendency of (dictatorship). Given unlimited license in the matter of divine intervention, most of us would be hard-pressed to maintain our perspective. The majority of us would rapidly become minor league (or major league) dictators. It is very difficult on a human level to maintain humility when we have the ability to impose our will on someone else. Wow! This fact in itself pretty much speaks to the long supposed issue, and question of, 'Is there truly a Supreme Being; a Holy God?' To wit I answer emphatically, YES!
